American Mandarin Society's Podcast

The American Mandarin Society supports the development of the future stewards of U.S.-China relations. This podcast aims to do this by providing listeners with recordings of AMS events in Washington, D.C., as well as readings of articles (mostly in Chinese) focused on current policy issues in the U.S. and China.

In this episode, we bring you a recording of our recent event with Dr. Yang Xuedong, Director of the Central Documents Translation Center (CDTC) of the Central Compilation and Translation Bureau of CCP Central Committee and senior research fellow of the China Center for Global Governance and Development Strategies (CCGGD). The lecture focuses on China’s policy process. The Central Compilation and Translation Department plays an important yet little known role in the production of official Chinese government documents.
